About Elizabeth Mae Wolfram...

Updated: Feb 28

"To say it plainly, I was blown away. Your writing is well beyond your years, but more than that...your understanding of biblical truth and the worldly ideologies that, "place man at the center of man's heart," is astounding. There are even professing Christians all throughout the world, particularly in the western world, that don't seem to understand the dangers in subscribing to "relative truth." It's a mindset that sadly will cause many to eventually fall away from faith, but it gave me so much joy to read your words!! Your generation is under such attack, dealing with issues that barely made a blip when I was your age. But even still, our Father is raising up courageous youth to stand for Truth and His light to a desperate and broken world. I am so deeply proud of you and the way you're using the gift you've been given. Very well done!"

Laura Frances

Published Author of The Slave Series

Welcome To "The Wordsmith's Edge!"

MY NAME IS ELIZABETH MAE WOLFRAM - author, creative writer, blogger, podcaster, and book publisher! To put it simply, I wear a lot of different hats, but pretty much all of them have to do with books and writing. The act of sitting at a computer, creating stories and fictional worlds has been such a huge part of my life, not just as a hobby, but as a safe space.

I started writing because I realized, when reading books, I wasn't afraid. When I was following along on the journey of these fictional characters, I could slow down and breathe in a time when anxiety and fear were at their highest in my life. I didn't know how to handle what I'd been through, how to convey these complicated emotions I'd experienced after trauma. The real world I knew was uncertain, so I turned to books - and later, writing - as an escape.

And in that refuge, I fell in love with words.

After reading the Author Bio at the end of "Slave" by Laura Frances, I realized that she was an independent author -- a self-published author. This was the first I had ever heard of someone being able to publish their own books. This ignited a goal in me: I would self-publish a book.

But throughout that time, I was only writing for myself, and none of the stories I'd been writing were enough to keep me invested.

And then God gave me a bigger story.

That's where my journey began... but it's most definitely far from the end!

About "Collector"

This new story proved to be one that I couldn't get out of my head. One that, no matter how much I wanted to give up because of feeling unworthy or struggling to write even a single word, I was invested... for seven years before getting it to a point where I could look at all the work I did, and be proud.

That book is called,

"Collector: The Chronicles of Imperialis Series - (Book One)

In 2022, I published "Collector." It was a seven-year journey from the very first written word to finally reaching publication -- literally, all of my teenage years. I made so many mistakes, probably all the ones out there possible, and probably made the same mistakes over and over again. That led to me rushing the publishing process and leaving a ton of mistakes inside my book. I made the difficult decision to take down "Collector" to revise and re-format. It took about six more months, and as of February 2024, I officially re-released "Collector: The Phoenix Edition!"

My character's story began as my own was being written too. She, in a way, saved me. This book, in a way, healed me.

What Is It About?

My main character is the agent responsible for finding and destroying all religious items, artifacts, and literature in an extreme totalitarian society but instead of destroying a crucial item, it destroys every belief and sense of reality she's ever known.

Here's the Official Description:

What is One Person Against The Dangerous Traditions that Refuse to Die?

Fueled by the deaths of those killed in the recent Valence Fires, seventeen-year-old Haylen Alter ignores her parents' objections and joins the Guardians of Civilian Affairs agency. There, interning as a Collector, she is trained to hunt the elusive terrorists that have polluted her country since its very inception... and destroy all remnants of their existence.

But every new assignment unravels a painful truth. Now intrigued by the entries of a terrorist’s journal, she realizes there is more to the GCA’s mission than they dare let on… and more to her father’s past than he’s willing to tell. Suddenly, Haylen finds herself walking a thin line between becoming a Collector and becoming the enemy she vowed to fight. As her beliefs crumble and her allegiance is tested, one burning question remains:

Could One Person Truly Change It All?

And before you think this is like every other dystopian book out there, I can assure you - it is most definitely not. And, if you give it a read, you might think this has a current events spin, but again, it does not. This idea came about as I was daydreaming on the ride from our old town to the new one in 2015, after finally telling my dad about what I'd been writing. We threw ideas back and forth and "Collector" as you know it was born.

Writing is my passion, my first book is my dream lived out, and my blog is me continuing to write about the very things that inspire me, motivate me, and the things that are making me who I am.

About My Mission

All of my story plays into me creating a resource for young, up-and-coming authors. Making all of those mistakes in writing and publishing taught me so much through writing, editing, formatting, and publishing. And I decided to -- while the mistakes are fresh on my mind -- help other writers. I'm not an author who has yet "made it," meaning I haven't won any awards or sold thousands of copies. However, I am passionate about consistently improving the craft and sharing my journey with others so they don't have to make the same mistakes that I did! Writing is already hard as it is, and making mistakes you might not even realize you are making just worsens the process! That's why I'm here!

Something else I want to mention is that my writing will have no profanity or explicit content, though there is some violence and darker themes not appropriate for younger readers. I am a believer, and my writing and blogging will reflect that. I want to help make "clean fiction" popular, so readers never have to worry about what's on the next page.

My mom and I have a self-publishing, marketing, and web design company called, DHK Creations & Publications, LLC devoted to providing clean books for readers of all ages and interests, and helping authors catch their dreams! For more on that, visit www.dhkcreations.com. Be sure to follow us on IG @dhkcreationsofficial

If you'd like to hear some interviews with authors who love clean fiction and have some amazing stories, look up The Wordsmith's Edge podcast on Spotify. I host this with my mom, Kari Elizabeth W., and we have such a blast talking with these amazing self-published authors!

I hope you follow along, not only for my blog, but to keep up with my journey as I continue to write Book Two in "The Chronicles of Imperialis" series. Here's something I want you to leave with:

IF I CAN MAKE MY DREAMS COME TRUE - YOU CAN TOO!
